ABOUT WALDESSORI SCHOOLHOUSE
The Waldessori Schoolhouse nonprofit hybrid school is located in rural East McKinney on 2 acres of land. We have 2 & 3 day options for homeschooling families and also a full time program.
Educationally, we adhere to Waldorf and Montessori principles to guide children into finding their full potential. We believe in child lead learning, encouraging imagination, and know that play is the greatest form of learning.
We meet each child’s needs individually through a whole-child approach, conscious discipline (always with the intention to teach, not to shame), and fostering a like-minded community. Our families not only believe in holistic forms of education, but also raising their children in a holistic environment. l In a world of fast pacing, our intent is to slow things down and nurture the innocence in our children as long as possible.
We have 2 buildings – one with 3-6 year old children, and the other serving 6-10 year olds this school year (2023-2024). Since we were founded in 2019, we have added a grade each year and plan to continue to do so.
